Gideon's Chariots and the Bloody Reality

Israel's choice of the name
Gideon's Chariots
for its recent operation in Gaza was not a casual choice. Rather, it is an invocation of an ancient biblical symbol from the Book of Judges, which recounts how Gideon, son of Joash, led only 300 men to defeat the massive Midianite army, armed with camels and war chariots.
In its religious context, the story symbolized the victory of a faithful few, enabled by faith and tactics, over an overwhelming majority, and a message to the Jews at the time that victory is achieved by God's will, not by numbers and equipment.
So far, so good, but when looking at history and archaeology, we find no independent evidence confirming the existence of Gideon or the occurrence of this battle. The Midianites, as a people, have a proven historical presence in northern Arabia and southern Jordan
, but the conflict with Gideon remains, in the eyes of historians, more of a myth or national epic than a documented historical event. Nevertheless, the story has become a symbol invoked to justify policies and practices in later eras.
Today, Israel invokes this symbol under the name "Gideon's Chariots" to cover up one of its most brutal operations against Gaza. Ironically, Israel is now not the weak minority, but the region's sole nuclear power, with unlimited support from the United States and Europe, bombing a besieged Strip inhabited by more than two million people, most of whom are civilians.
This Israeli nonsense, from drawing the Nile and Euphrates on their flag, to stealing the six-pointed star and claiming it is the Star of David, and also the menorah, all reveals that they steal everything, even homelands. The name reveals the essence of the Israeli mentality, which is to use forged religious texts in a distorted Torah to justify an expansionist colonial project based on killing, displacement, and the destruction of the infrastructure of Palestine, which they refused to enter during the time of Moses, peace be upon him. This is the approach they have followed since the inception of Israel until now, under the auspices of the American veto and European support.
To understand this barbaric behavior, masked by a falsified Torah, we must return to "global Zionism." Since its inception in the late nineteenth century, Zionism has formulated a project that is not limited to establishing a national homeland for the Jews, but rather extends to political and economic control over the region, making Israel a spearhead in the heart of the Middle East, and even an American state implementing American and European plans in Arab countries. This project would not have succeeded without unlimited Western support. America provided it with money, weapons, and technology, while Europe granted it political and diplomatic cover, sometimes motivated by guilt over the Holocaust, and other times by the logic of strategic alliance. Meanwhile, Arab silence, out of concern for Arab-European and American relations, is met with.
Thus, Israel transformed from an occupier that came to occupy a land and people and violated them, to a force that stands above international law, with the support of Britain and America. Yes, it is a usurping, occupying force that commits whatever war crimes and apartheid it desires, confident that no one will hold it accountable. What's even worse is that all of this is taking place amid Arab silence. The Arab League has been content with issuing statements and condemnations, while some countries have rushed to normalize relations, thus granting Israel additional legitimacy at the expense of Palestinian blood.
Silence does not protect homelands; it only whets the aggressor's appetite for more. History is witness that colonialism can only be stopped by steadfast resistance and collective awareness. I remind you of Netanyahu's speech in which he said that Greater Israel is a response to divine commands.
"Gideon's Chariots" in its current form is not a story of a faithful few triumphing over the many, as they claim in their false Torah, but rather a story of brutal force borrowing from myths to justify the extermination of an entire defenseless, peaceful people.
And the strongest of them, and I am extremely certain, no matter how hard Israel tries to build its legitimacy on texts, Western support, and lethal weapons, Palestine will remain a witness that might does not take away right, and that legitimacy is not born from the muzzles of cannons. Just as the empires of ancient colonialism fell despite their might, such as the Persians, Romans, Mongols, and Crusaders, Israel will fall one day, because the will of the people is invincible, because history does not have mercy on those who built their glory on the blood of the innocent, and because this is God's promise, and God does not break His promise.
